BELOW THE CLIFFS AND ABOVE THE TIDE
Another "Dancing into Elemental Art" weekend
20th and 21st March 2010
A weekend of creative expression inspired by an elemental walk on the beach below fossil cliffs and beside the sparkling sea. Our experience will inspire a truly creative weekend of movement, design, dance, paint, stitch and making. Come and find your creative self.
The weekend will begin with a walk of discovery on Eype Beach near Bridport followed by a move to the village hall at Salway Ash to interpret our experiences and findings through creative dance, painting, writing and making. Some or all of these activities will be initiated by dancing our interpretations.
All are welcome, no experience is necessary, just a desire to be creative or find out if you are. The course will be gently led and is for all ages. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
The course aims to create a group response to the meeting place of the sea and the land.
10.30 - 5.00 pm on Saturday 9.30 - 4.00 pm on Sunday

WORKSHOP - "DANCING INTO ELEMENTAL ART". Led by Wendy Hermelin and Caroline Mayall. 16th and 17th May 2009 - Salway Ash near Bridport
A weekend of creative expression inspired by the magical heart of West Dorset. Amidst ancient hill forts and wind-blown beacons, fossil cliffs and the sparkling sea, we shall find elemental scenes to inspire a truly creative weekend of dancing, painting, stitching and making. We shall integrate these art forms to express aspects of the four elements that are found here in force.
Come and find your creative self.
THIS WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL WEEKEND. ON OUR WALK UP LEWESDON HILL THE SUN SHONE, THE WIND BLEW A HOWLING GALE AND THE BUTTERCUPS, BLUEBELLS AND RED CAMPION GLOWED BRIGHTLY BENEATH THE NEW GREEN OF THE BEECH LEAVES. WHEN WE RETURNED TO THE HALL THE SKY DARKENED BENEATH HUGE CLOUDS AND THE RAIN LASHED DOWN. WE DANCED AND MADE ELEMENTAL THINGS AS A RESULT!
Look for another one next spring 2010. We shall be going to the sea side for our inspiration.
